There will be Music concerts played through out the day watch the website for updates on who will be playing. Door prize tickets and 50/50 tickets for sell through out the day.

PAY OUT IS AS FOLLOWS $10.00 ENTRY FEE GOES TO MDA. THE BALANCE BECOMES THE POT AND PAYS OUT TO THE TOP 3 POSITIONS. 50% TO FIRST PLACE  30% TO SECOND PLACE AND  20% TO THIRD PLACE. THERE IS NO POT GURANTEE.

 

On August 26, 2006 we will hold the 2nd Annual Jeramy Clark Memorial Bike Ride to benefit MDA. This ride will be held in Warm Springs GA.

 

MDA was a cause near and dear to Jeramy’s heart. Jeramy was the Goodwill Ambassador for the Columbus area for 10 years. He had a disease called Friedreich’s Ataxia, which is a form of Muscular Dystrophy. Jeramy wanted a cure and worked hard to raise not only money but awareness of the diseases covered by the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In order to continue Jeramy’s dream for a cure we have combined three things he loved,

 

  • Motorcycles-Jeramy never missed an opportunity to ride with his friends from local Harley rider’s groups when they came to Telethon on Labor Day. He loved those bikes and really enjoyed riding them and seeing them at bike shows.
  • Fire Fighters-Jeramy spent many hours with the Fire Fighters in Columbus, Phenix City and Harris County. He visited the Fire Stations and went to the Boot Drives to hang out.
  • MDA-Jeramy felt this was the greatest organization. Not only did they help us understand his disease, they made it possible for him to go to Summer Camp, a great week when children with these diseases can really cut loose and have a great time just being kids. But most importantly to Jeramy they raised money to help find a cure and supply kids with Neuromuscular diseases the equipment and medical treatment they need.

Our goal:

 Raise money by filling our giant Fire Fighter’s boot to help MDA, and have a great time.

There will be a 60 mile Poker run, a 100 mile escorted Ride, Music, Prizes and much more.

What can you do to help?

  • For a donation of $50.00 or more you can be a sponsor your company name will be listed on the sponsors’ page of the web site. Any donation you wish to make will be greatly appreciated.
  • Make a donation of door prizes, we are looking for door prizes in all shapes and sizes.

 

About the Ride

 

The ride will be held in Warm Springs GA on August 26 2006. The idea for the ride came from Chief Jim Davis. He is the Chief of the Warm Springs Volunteer Fire Dept. he has worked with Jeramy for several years with the MDA Fill the Boot campaign around Labor day. When Jeramy passed away he did not want to see all of Jeramy’s hard work and determination to find a cure for the diseases MDA covers come to an end so he started the Annual Memorial Jeramy Clark Bike Ride. The Ride is always the weekend before Labor Day weekend and is a way to bring together several things Jeramy loved, Motorcycles, Firefighters and MDA. We have a giant Firefighter’s boot we fill (Fill the Boot campaign for MDA). The Poker Run will begin with the first bike out at 10:00am and the last bike out at 11:30am.  The approximately100 mile escorted ride will start around 11:30am. There will be 50/50 tickets sold throughout the day and door prizes given away all day long. We will have several bands playing throughout the day, and will culminate with a Concert by Strokin Dixie Band, keep checking the site for concert updates.  We will have an autographed Hank Williams Jr. (www.HankJr.com)Guitar and a pair of Jeans signed by Neal McCoy(www.nealmccoy.com) which will be raffled off.
